AHS Class of 1963 60th Reunion Third Planning Meeting April 19, 2023 Merry Acres Manor House John Sherman opened the third planning meeting by welcoming those attending: Lynda Medley Campbell, Nancy Lake Armstrong, Susan Hudgens Harper, Bruce Garey, Nan Murphy Claypool, Bobby Moree, Claire Rushton Allen, Lucy Holman Stone, Gayle Walden Chapman, Diane Knight Fowler, Betty Thornton Gotsch, and Pat Rose Duggan. John presented the proposed budget for the reunion weekend, noting that the cost per person for the weekend will be $100. The budget was approved. Maggie, the Merry Acres Event Manager, attended the meeting to answer any questions about the proposed menu and pricing for the reunion weekend. It was decided that a rental fee of $187.80 be added to our approved budget for the use of the Gazebo from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm on Saturday, Oct. 21. A television and DVD player will be located and placed in the Gazebo to run videos of past reunions. Susan and Nan are to secure the television and DVD player from their church. John announced that he and Susan had produced a music playlist that will be used during the weekend. Charlie Thorne will be providing music at the cost of $700 on Saturday night. Pat will make available to him the playlist and secure a contract from him. Bruce provided a list of  missing classmates asking those present to contact him if they know the whereabouts of these.  Susan requested that classmates, receiving emails from the committee, look at the distribution list on the top of the email.  Contact her with email addresses of those not listed. Bruce has an electronic registration form and will share it with Lucy and Susan.  Lucy and Susan will meet within the next two weeks to produce a new form that will include the dates, price, menu, hotel information and a question regarding veteran's military service. Once completed the forms will be sent to classmates. The next reunion meeting will be Wednesday, August 9, at 10:30am, at Merry Acres Manor House.
